My family took a trip to Utah last weekend. Along the way, I could not help myself but to take these pictures. My sweet family even waited patiently for me. I couldn't decide what I liked best, so here are my favorites!

Sneak Peek at Mr. N - here's to you Lins!
Okay, my friend Linds and I grew up together...no kidding. We "met" when we were something like 2 years old. Our mom's were friends, then our dad's became good pals too. So, naturally we did everything together. She became a second sister to me, her parent's became my Mommy and Daddy Number 2 - so, when she needed me to tend her little man for a little while, I was happy to help. Of course, looking at these images you will realize quite quickly why it is that I couldn't resist snapping some fun shots of the handsome devil. Here are some favorites!~

Happy Early Birthday to ME!

So, my Christmas/Birthday present this year was my much awaited, long anticipated new 50mm 1.4 lens! You would not believe the incredible depth of field this thing gets. And the ability to grab whatever insignificant light happens to be available in the image is amazing! I am soooo happy! Here's a picture of my new best friend! I had her shipped 2 day priority mail so that I could have her for the TWO shoots I have on Saturday. I am stoked about them both. They are both from Tim's office and one shoot is for a little 6 mo. old baby boy. Can't wait to meet him! And then later in the afternoon, I'm headed to Union Station in downtown Denver for a cute tweener whose mom has told me she's one incredible kid. I am thrilled to meet her and call her my friend!
So, here are some fun images I took with my new lens. Notice, the first one was the very first thing I took a picture of. Doesn't that speak volumes about my priorities... can we just say "CHOCOLATE" all together now :)

Collections!

I love photography assignments. If I ever get good at this thing - I will try to come up with fun assignments for all you readers out there! So, to copy from an assignment I found...it was called COLLECTIONS. We all have them. Some we are proud of, others not so much. Some we don't even realize we have. Me. Well, I have more than I care to mention. But, that's me. I try to "stock up" and that leads to some random collections. I have a ton of journals, more than I can count (or find at the moment), i love shoes & clocks, I have TONS of lipgloss, chapstick - which when you live out here in the dry state of Colorado, you cannot have enough of. I have magazines out the wazzoo. I hope to get ideas from them, but as of yet - half remain unread. So, in honor of all that we collect - I say - go shoot them (not with a gun though). If they are pretty - great. Even if they aren't - great. Just take a picture of them. If you want, shoot me an email of them and I'll post it on here! It's way more fun when you know what everyone is doing too! Be creative. Some of us collect dust bunnies in the strangest of places! Have fun with this. Email me at brittannphotography@gmail.com! I can't wait to see what we come up with. And don't forget to check back on this post as I will be adding images sent by others with their LINKS included so you can check them out too!

I'm not being neglectful!
I have still thought about my "Shot of the Day" thing EVERY day! I don't know if I can literally do it EVERY day - but I can play catch up I guess! So, here are some pictures that I would have posted if I had 3.5 seconds (yes, that's about all I would have needed) to post anything!
Enjoy the images! D is for Dickman! Yeah for Family! And the picture of the apple - I don't know why but that color of green always makes me happy. And paired with the orange...let's just say it speaks to me.

A New Senior Shoot
I had such a fun time today with Kirsten and Krystel T. They were so great. We wandered around Southlands Mall, mingling with the passerbys...sort of. They stared, we shot shots. There were a couple of hoods that found us humorous but none of us seemed to have to difficult a time enjoying ourselves regardless. Here are just a couple shots - quick edits. More later on! Thanks girls - I loved every minute! Hope I spelled your names right girls. There will be more pictures to come. Sorry to keep you waiting today though :)

Fun images from a bit before

I found this rusted out "airplane" - my nieces were convinced it was a plane wreck left in this park...I honestly don't know. But, I enjoyed the shots it lent itself to.
Other exciting and FABULOUS news! My wonderful husband who I adore is going to be a more permanent fixture in Brittann Photography. I am thrilled. He is so business minded but I know he's also very capable of being creative. So, I'm anxious to sit down and hash out the details of our new "relationship"! I am truly a lucky woman to have this hotty as my husband and soon to be business partner.
