Back to Basics...{Family Photography, Individual Photography, Black and White, Oklahoma Photographer}

Labor Day weekend has forever been a chance for our family to meet up with my husband's brother and his family. We have floated the Platte River for the last 6 years or more. But, this time we thought we'd mix it up and meet at his home in Edmond, OK. We took advantage of all the blessings that come from having a brother-in-law own a boat and live within 20-30 minutes of a variety of lakes.

But, we also put my sister-in-law, Ashley's idea of black and white shots of her babies to work. Here are some of my favorites from our short session. (and yes, they are seriously THE cutest kids...with the exception of my own of course ;))

I know these are coming later than I planned, but I had to share them because they were so precious. Little Misses A. & E. were so precious. Miss A. is a hoot and knows how to really work the camera. And she is going to be an amazing big sis to Miss E. The family adores this little one, and how could you not - knowing only a few weeks before she was sent from heaven. She was so tired and it took an effort to keep more than one eye open at a time :) Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day and your family's!

Miss S and her momma - words can not express how much fun I had with you today! What a blast! I honestly couldn't wait to get just a few of these up for you. What a blast I had with this talented young man and his mom! Mr. A - I expect great things out of you! Thank you for indulging all my silly ideas and helping me spot out some great locations. This kid took direction like no other - and then nearly knocked me flat when he kept coming up with his own stuff, impressive stuff. Thank you again for a great day! I had such a great time!

I love that he chose veggies over that enormous lollipop! I hope his grandpa, a dentist, enjoy that part too!

I love this family! This is actually my second cousins' family and they are beautiful. We met for the first time out at college and upon meeting we discovered our grandma's were SISTERS! Sometimes it really is a small world after all! Erin - enjoy! I had the best time with you. I wish it could have lasted even longer...next year maybe :)

Sneak Peek at Little Mr. R - His Momma's Been Waiting! {Denver, Parker, CO Infant Baby Photographer}

I am in love with this cute chubby boy and his "light up the night" blue eyes! What a little stud - he easily stole the show. He was a good sport for 90% of everything we tried...even putting him in a cradle his mommy had from childhood. That doesn't mean he enjoyed himself while lying in it...but he went in nonetheless :)
