These handsome young men were as easy going and fun as they were cute and photogenic! I had a great time hanging out with these two and their awesome mom! I neglected to get these images up earlier and I regret not having gotten them up sooner - poor mom was checking and everything! Stac - I hope you aren't disappointed by the wait. These guys are good looking! Enjoy!

North Carolina Madness! {Family Photographer, Outer Banks, North Carolina}
Okay, well I have finally finished editing all my pictures from my adventure to North Carolina! This trip was an absolute blast! Plus the area we were able to photograph in was incredible. The timing of the shoot could have been better, but you win some you lose some...
So, enjoy some of my favorites!

Sneak Peek at Jeri & Brandon at Red Rocks {Engagement Photographer, Morrison, CO}
I had the best time with these two. We literally laughed most of the time we were together. We got there early to beat the heat. Apparently, we timed it perfectly to exercise with the greater part of the Morrison, CO community. These people were intense. I was amazed at the exercises they were doing - up and down all those stairs, doing push up with their heads facing the bottom of the ampitheater, aerobics classes on the steps...it was crazy! Jeri, Brandon and I took it easier but it was still tough to take all those stairs. Poor Brandon was in long sleeves. But, he and Jeri were such good sports despite the heat.
Red Rocks is such a beautiful location to shoot at. I have to say, I bet the fall is a great time to take pictures there and to avoid the heat. Either way though, this past weekend was so much fun. Thanks for the great time Jeri & Brandon. I can't wait until November 1st when you get to say "I do!"
Here are some of my favorites from the day

back to a time of real heroes...
This past Friday I was able to join Tony and Kari as they shared their vows to love and honor one another. But, not only was I able to be a part of such a beautiful moment, but they created that moment into something truly not of this time. Their entire wedding was set to the theme of the 1880s. They wore period clothing that was incredible. And why? Well, because it was a time in which standing behind your word really meant something. Honor took on real meaning that didn't fade with time or circumstances.
I particularly loved Tony's speech at the dinner reception. Why did they choose to go with yellow and green colors? No, not just because John Deer's played a big part of their lives, but because of what green and yellow symbolized to them. Green is everything that grows - not just plants and flowers - but love and relationships. And yellow is like the sun which gives light to all things in order to aid in their growth. They felt this would remind them of the love that they share that would nourish their growth as a couple as the days turned into years. I was sincerely so pleased to be there.
I loved their wedding party as well - what an incredible group of individuals. I truly felt privileged to be there. So, congratulations Tony and Kari! Here is a sneak peek at some of my favorites from your special day!
Got a kick out of this guy. He videorecorded the EntIrE thing with his camera phone. That's dedicated!
This is a precious photo because I was able to witness the expression of love and adoration as it occurred. It was Tony's turn to repeat his vows and place the ring on Kari's finger. He held her hand and as he did she reached up and so delicately covered his hand in her own. It was beautiful. I don't know how to adequately describe the emotion behind that simple touch - but I found myself quite choked up.

Sneak Peek...Little Mr. G.
What a fabulous weekend I had. Not only was my 28th birthday on Saturday, but I got to do my very favorite things that day. I spent time with my family, I ended the day with a fabulous party, but I also got a chance to have a really fun shoot with an adorable little 6 month old, G!
Let's just say, he made my "job" easy. I can't even really call it work when I have that much fun. He liked my camera a lot...this might be a bit of an understatement seeing as he not only smiled almost every time I whipped the camera out, but he also insisted on being really close to it. He's just barely starting to crawl and let's just say, my camera seemed to have been just the motivation he needed to practice crawling a bit more that day. What a stud!
Anyway, I had a fabulous time with his parents as well. They were patient with my serious directionally-impaired behavior and my newly discovered dyslexia (well, I might as well have it. I am constantly inversing numbers on streets). Either way, I ended up not being in front of their house at 10am, but in front of a street where their home could not have existed. But I got there, G. got a bit longer nap which I'm sure served him well, and we got some gorgeous images. So, here are just a few. Enjoy!

I'm not being neglectful!
I have still thought about my "Shot of the Day" thing EVERY day! I don't know if I can literally do it EVERY day - but I can play catch up I guess! So, here are some pictures that I would have posted if I had 3.5 seconds (yes, that's about all I would have needed) to post anything!
Enjoy the images! D is for Dickman! Yeah for Family! And the picture of the apple - I don't know why but that color of green always makes me happy. And paired with the orange...let's just say it speaks to me.

Sneak Peek - H. Family at Arrowhead Golf Course

I had a blast doing this shoot last weekend. I've been a bit slow posting these because I want to get through them a bit further, but since I wasn't able to post a "shot of the day" - this is my shot! I had the best time with D., E., J. & J. - oh and of course little J's bear Sabrina. She was part of the Cheetah Girl crew I believe.
We went up to Arrowhead Golf Club at 8:30am and it was COLD. But, it was gorgeous. The sky was that pristine blue that you have to love Colorado for. But, these guys were troopers, although Mr. E - he's from Florida and wasn't too keen on ditching the coats or staying outside any longer than we had to. But, we laughed, we played, we lost some balloons - overall, we had an incredible day. And we got some amazing shots! So, D. - check some of these out! Hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Want to waste a little bit of time?
Here is something that will keep you busy.
Just click here.
This is how I spent the last 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back. You know, I'm sure there's a life lesson in this...perhaps that sometimes you need to stop and take a break. Now back to editing.
