Sneak Peek for the Forbert Family : {Parker, CO & Denver, CO Family Photography}

This family has such a special place in my heart! I have been lucky enough to have called their mom, Mandi, one of my closest friends for the past 5 years. I am blessed to know this family. Our kids love each other and she is an amazing pianist who has taken on the task of teaching my girls piano as well. Tom is also one amazing guy! He has such a funny sense of humor and is as easy going as can be. We love our Tommy-Bear :) Well, I have officially embarrassed this family enough! Love you guys tremendously!

Sneak Peek for the talented Miss H : {Senior Portrait Photographer, Parker & Denver, CO}

I can't speak highly enough about this BEAUTIFUL lady! She is stunning both inside and out. We took off to downtown Denver near Union Station and had an absolute blast. From being able to slip inside an impressive looking car to being able to listen to her sing a spot on rendition of "Mean" by Taylor Swift

the original

Here is Miss H's rendition (it's brief but I LOVE it!) And I'm still working on my skills as a 'videographer' :) Obviously not really my skill set and the fact that the airplane flying over nearly drowns out my sweet friend...but all that aside : ENJOY IT!

And here are more of her pictures from our rockin' session!

Urban {Children Photographer, Denver, Colorado}

I always find myself trying to 'sell' the idea of the downtown, urban look in children or family portraits. Obviously and most importantly, I want my clients to go where they want to go and get the images they are hoping for - but, sometimes giving them an option that they wouldn't normally consider or even think about is fun. So, just to give you and idea of how fun/cool an urban setting can be, check out the images below.

Finally ~ Updates {Denver Children Photographer, Flower Me Pretty}

Flower Me Pretty by Amy Almeida - This was a great photo shoot downtown at Union Station. Amy sells these beautiful bows and has recently gotten really involved in this business. She asked if we could do a shoot to highlight the bows - I think the bows are gorgeous and the images captured how many ways you can use these with a variety of outfits and hairstyles. Such a fun day. The girls were wonderful and were helping pick where to take different shots and what poses they wanted to do...so stinkin' cute!

Sneak Peek - The Amazing Miss V.

I had an amazing time this past Saturday photographing the lovely Miss V. The day didn't start off quite how I imagined it as I was pulled over before evening arriving at Union Station for speeding. But, the shoot was incredible...except of course for the guard at Union Station getting on Kim (Miss V's mom) for the suitcase we left in the bathroom so that she could manage all her various changes in cloths. Apparently, Union Station is as high security as the nearest airport and the guard threatened not only to kick us out but to call DPD (Denver Police Department...he had to clarify as we had no clue). Needless to say we carted the suitcase around for the rest of the shoot. But, my gosh can this girl pose. She was a fantastic model. I was super impressed. I honestly have a fantastic time - even with all the initial mayhem. Then, what to my wandering eye should appear, not a tiny sleigh with eight tiny reindeer but a nasty yellow parking ticket inserted in the edge of my door. Not because my meter ran out (I still had 10 minutes to go) but because on Tim's car he didn't have a front license plate! Can you believe the time this cop must have had on his/her hands to give out a ridiculous $30 ticket for a missing license plate - the match of which I DID HAVE pasted on the back of the car. I swear. What a day! But, even still - looking at the pictures now...it was totally worth it!

So, Kim and Miss V - Enjoy!

Union Station shoot

This weekend I was going to have 2 separate shoots on Saturday. Unfortunately, due to sickness and other unfortunate circumstances, both shoots ended up being rescheduled for later in the month. On Friday, in preparation for Saturday, I went down to Union Station with my favorite models and took some fun shots. So, here are some of my favorites. And these are going to be my "Shot of the Day" shots for today and this weekend! Enjoy!

Happy Early Birthday to ME!

So, my Christmas/Birthday present this year was my much awaited, long anticipated new 50mm 1.4 lens! You would not believe the incredible depth of field this thing gets. And the ability to grab whatever insignificant light happens to be available in the image is amazing! I am soooo happy! Here's a picture of my new best friend! I had her shipped 2 day priority mail so that I could have her for the TWO shoots I have on Saturday. I am stoked about them both. They are both from Tim's office and one shoot is for a little 6 mo. old baby boy. Can't wait to meet him! And then later in the afternoon, I'm headed to Union Station in downtown Denver for a cute tweener whose mom has told me she's one incredible kid. I am thrilled to meet her and call her my friend!

So, here are some fun images I took with my new lens. Notice, the first one was the very first thing I took a picture of. Doesn't that speak volumes about my priorities... can we just say "CHOCOLATE" all together now :)
