Sneak Peek for One Year old Miss L: {Parker, CO Children's Photographer}

This little princess I have had the privilege of photographing since before she took her first breath! I have had so much fun with Miss L. and her momma & daddy. I am always grateful for clients who become friends! We managed to squish in some on location shots in their home as well as heading over to Cottonwood Park and taking advantage of the pretty colors over there.

Miss L.'s momma has also started a business of her own recently. She made the beautiful tutu, the glitzy shoes and the barrett that Miss L. was donning during her session. What a treat to meet Kari & Joe's family! I loved spending the morning today with them. They are a great couple with some beautiful children. I had so much fun with Big J. and Little J. Such good boys with adorable personalities. This is just a brief sneak peek of images I happened to pick at random...yes, random! That's how cute these turned out! I hope you guys enjoy them too!

I had the pleasure of taking these ruggedly handsome boys pictures two year ago. My how time can change kids! They are just as handsome but so much bigger now. I had so much fun with this family! I can't tell you what a relief it is to hear from parents that they understand that their probably won't be many shots of EVERYONE looking to perfection and that they are okay with it because it's the phase of life they are in. Sometimes its a hard thing to do to convince parents that it's okay if your child isn't smiling just so and looking to the 9s, like they did when you first came. It's okay because I promise you this - I'll get it right, even if we need to do again. I am happy to come back or whatever. We will make it so you are satisfied! Despite the words of encouragement that they understood if it all didn't turn out - I think this beautiful family sees that they truly wow-ed the camera! Thank you for such a great time. I am anxious to put more up, but for now...enjoy~

These girls were such troopers. Locations are not always the easiest to get to and even in their gorgeous dresses and perfectly coiffed hair they managed to get to the various locations I hoped to shoot in. Thank heavens for patient parents who trooped along as well and made it easier for the girls (and myself) to cross fence lines and treacherous terrain :)

I always find myself trying to 'sell' the idea of the downtown, urban look in children or family portraits. Obviously and most importantly, I want my clients to go where they want to go and get the images they are hoping for - but, sometimes giving them an option that they wouldn't normally consider or even think about is fun. I know these are coming later than I planned, but I had to share them because they were so precious. Little Misses A. & E. were so precious. Miss A. is a hoot and knows how to really work the camera. And she is going to be an amazing big sis to Miss E. The family adores this little one, and how could you not - knowing only a few weeks before she was sent from heaven. She was so tired and it took an effort to keep more than one eye open at a time :) Thank you so much for letting me be a part of your day and your family's!
