I honestly did celebrate it, and because I managed to stay up as late as we did to celebrate it, I feel I am a bit behind in my regular check list of to do's. But, it was great. Last year, I was big and pregnant with our third. Not that I wasn't enjoying myself on the fourth, but it was a lot different this year as we not only find ourselves in a beautiful home, we have wonderful friends whose relationships have changed our experience here to a better one, we have goals and things we are so excited to achieve...and we do it all under the premise of a country that ENCOURAGES you to pursue your dreams!
Tim and I have really made our goals something worth achieving and his infectious optimism has made me truly believe that it is possible! I am so excited about the prospect of living out our dreams on a daily basis. I wrote this in my personal blog, but it's so true. Tim told me (he learned this from a seminar he attended) that we need to pull ourselves from the task of just doing and moving - but move to intentional motion and action. It's about acting and not reacting to life that allows for great success. And it is in this process that Tim and I currently find ourselves. It's thrilling to think of all we can accomplish. I will never forget the day Tim and I got married, he looked me straight in the eye and in complete and utter sincerity and seriousness said, "You and I can do absolutely anything. Together, we are unstoppable." And I believed him then, and do so even more today. Can you get a sense of how truly happy and optimistic he is. There couldn't be another soul in the world that could be better for me than Tim is. I am truly blessed.

Durango
We got home from Durango on Sunday evening for a little family vacation and let's just say that it was incredible! We had no idea what was in our "backyard" - mind you it took SEVEN hours to get there from here, but it was worth the trip. We had a great time. And there was so many wonderful things to see. So, here are some of my favorite scenery shots while we were there. We got a chance to go 4x4ing up the mountain near Kate's Mine. Not sure if that helps anyone have any clue as to where we were but even if it doesn't...does it really matter?
There was also this incredible tree with its roots firmly planted in and through a rock wall. It was incredible. I couldn't help but think of those posters telling you to "keep on keeping on" - or something like that. But, it really was neat to see how nature can be so resilient - that tree was not exactly planted in an ideal location and yet it beat the odds and seems to continue to thrive even still. For me, in all cheesiness, it really did motivate/inspire me to continue on when times are difficult because despite all the odds, I can thrive :)
