Can I just say that I wish so badly that I were at the WPPI convention this weekend in Las Vegas. What a bummer. I would love to be able to listen to the various classes and check out the trade show. I will NOT be missing it next year. I seriousy considered buying a ticket and going even though it starts tomorrow. That's what happens when you start contemplating in a really calming warm shower after only having gotten about and hour and a half of solid sleep the night before. Being a mom makes life interesting to say the least. But, I'm not complaining. Aside from photography, there are very few "addictions" in my life and my kids and family are definitely on my list of addictions ;)

I found this really neat site to embed music on your blog. It's called Imeem. I don't know if I would feel safe perusing the thing - you could probably find some pretty riske things there...but, I definitely am up for making some cool playlists to enjoy! So, ENJOY!

I am a new member of Pictage. Any photographers out there that happen to be reading this - go check out the March Madness promotion. You get a FREE Willowbook album. They are leather bound and fabulous. Much like Zookbinders which I absolutely love and have used since we started our business 3 years ago. Anyway, the best part about Pictage is that there is no contract, you stay as long as you like and you use it to its full ability. They are also really CLASSY - meaning they send prints and everything else in really nice black boxes lined with tissue paper etc. I mean, that's good stuff that I don't have to account for. The other thing is that they charge a commission of 10% on client orders to cover the cost of the "extras" that make it classy and to cover the fees for accepting credit cards. But, they don't have an e-commerce fee or CC fee (which for the company we use is 18% of what we make). Plus, they advertise for us and that's great too. Can't complain about free advertising. Right? Anyway, just wanted to give a shout out to anyone looking to streamline their business and get a great album for free.

Good reads - Okay, well The Secret is still topping out at the very peak of my favorite books in relation to business. But, others that I have heard of and thought would be worth mentioning. According to David Jay and Shyla a book called "The Art of the Start" by Guy Kawasaki. Anyway - I am really into reading about how you can make your life what you want it to be. More than reading - I guess I should say I'm really into figuring out how you do that...and then doing it. I have such a strong desire to watch my business grow and a willingness to put in the effort to make it happen. Now I'm just looking for the edge that can aid in assisting my dream!
More later!

I was able to go to my husband Tim's football game over the weekend and try my hand at real fast action shots - they were fun. Still have several more games that I will have the opportunity to learn more. This was only the first game of the season!!
Plus, it pays to have a hubby who plays QB.

I am excited to annouce that despite living in our home for over six months, I now have an official OFFICE space. Granted I might be sharing it during the evenings with Tim - but, it's okay! I have a beautiful office with killer furniture. A little shout out to Hobby Lobby for their incredible furniture. It's one of a kind. I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else. And I'm not kidding when I tell you that I have envisioned my office looking this great! And now all that's left is a can of paint to splash up the walls...oh, and all my pictures. I am about to order them and frame them all so I can get going on finishing this room up! I am so stoked! Here are some pictures I took this morning. Let me know what you think!
